ear funky and dumpy teacher

Good lesson this morning. I say good because I learned a lot. He said I was better, but he wasn't nice either. A good lesson is where you get work done, so yep, good applies.
I sound really great to me right now because I can hardly hear out of my left ear. Got water in it at the temple. You'd think if I was doing something good, I'd be blessed with no ear blockage, dang it.
So I can't hear out of the ear right next to the fiddle. That's cool, because by the time the sound gets to my right ear, it doesn't pick up all the nastiness. I should give everyone at my recital one earplug.

I'm going to LA for Thanksgiving. Goona see my grandparents and my parents will be there, too. Dad decided I should check out USC while I'm there - not in the futile hope that I would actually get in, but to see the best for my masters and then compare the other schools I see to that. No prob bob.
I mentioned this to Mr. Lewis (my teacher) and he got mad and told me I had no business flying anywhere for Thanksgiving - that I should stay and practice because my jury is the next week.
He got mad, but I told them I wouldn't be able to see the g*parents many more times because they're fadin' (and they're staring to like me now in their dementia). He said it was my life but whutevah.
Ak. I suppose he could be right, but this is the best time for me to be visiting USC and Reva LOVES Thanksgiving. I will NOT spend it away from my parents.
He's just secretly sure I'm going to suck on my jury. Why does he care this time? He's been blowing them off for a few semesters now. Golly, what a butthead. Maybe I won't suck. Maybe.
well, anywho...
