what a faboo day. Marcy and I went out from Sonic, Urmi and I went and got pedicures and ate crawdads like we've been jonesing to do ever since we got back from New Orleans! Oh yeah, and I also
passed my hearing!!! I'm going to grad school!!!

I got done and Lewis rushed down to speak to me and said "That was Dang impressive." Well, not "dang," but this is a family website:)
I need some big tweaking in the next month until my recital and it should be fine... that's just for me...
but I did it. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and the phone calls. The funniest thing was that after my first piece I rushed out to the hall to get my video tape because I'd forgotten it and I wanted this on tape to see later.. and as I ran out to the hall, I whacked Marcy in the head with the door because she was listening to me. heehee.
Later I got to get a real pedicure and then crawdads at Razoos with Urmi and we are so happy... I called Crabtree and made him come over so he could feel my feet. It was so cool - I sat in this huge massaging chair with my feet in a small jacuzzi with this small Vietnamese woman pampering my tootsies... it was soooo nice - I might be addicted!
I don't have any class tomorrow. I am a vegetable right now... I had 2 cups of ice cream earlier.
I have nothing more to report other than the fact that I am so freaking happy and I flirted with the cashier in the bookstore today and he gave me 75% off the folder I was buying because I was wearing my fav skirt and smiled with those batty eyes of mine.
boo-ya. I'm getting validated way too much lately. I just found out was the topic of conversation of a crowd of percussionists the other day out in the hall outside their departmental. All these boys going on about that hot chick in the orchestra..
no this is NOT going to my head. It is nice though... a change of pace for the genderless drone I can feel like sometimes, trudging around, trying to get a degree... well, the degree is almost got and I am female once again!
