everyone loves a parade!

QUITE the weekend! Duluth held its annual Fall Festival, and yours truly got the honor of playing fiddle with my friends in the parade - hillllarious!!
Why yes, that IS the Arby's oven mit behind us! One of my former students got to play that character and danced behind us for the whole parade!
And here is a video of Jared DANCING with said oven mit (warning - this was sooo funny and I got distracted so I am playing hideously out of tune - IGNORE THAT PART!)
Here's a pic of Jared and his new friend:
And here's us before we got rolling (Jared - of course was the driver)
Picture it - a violinist, guitaris and bass player rolling down the streets at breakneck speed in a trailer while Jared is driving to get us to the parade on time - and us, playing the Orange Blossom Special down the road. You can't buy memories like that:)
the other few pics of the day are on my flikr page if you are in the mood.
And on Friday, I rode a ferris wheel for the first time with my hubby at the North Georgia State Fair.
I really kind of dig my life!
Last night we were snuggling in bed and and Jared asked "Guess who is taking the most beautiful girl in the world on a cruise this weekend?"
Me!! That's me!!!
I'm so excited! Urmi and I were talking yesterday about her recent vacay and honeymoons and such and it just came to us that we are SO much more comfortable in our marriges than right after our weddings.
We've been through our loops and ups and downs, and I know they are most certainly not over - but we're at a place now where taking an exotic get-a-way is going to be such a freaking blast because we're functioning together as a unit more, we can explore and enjoy our trip without wondering what the other is thinking and such.
So does anyone know what I need to do - what we should do on a cruise? In Freeport and Nassau? Can you snorkel on your own, or do you need to take a boat to the middle of the ocean?
Have a marvelous Tuesday, I know I will:)
SUPERCRACK is out!
