I didn't mention this before because I didn't think I had a shot of being noticed... so I chalked it up to experience and ignored it.
Okay, from the beginning... our orchestra director announced an audition call in front of the whole orchestra as a joke. Cirque du Soleil is looking for a violinist...
yeah...
Well, Reva knows everyone and their dog wasnts the gig but it was too good to pass up the chance to put together a cool demo and get some pictures taken. And fix my resume for coolness stuff. But never thought I had a chance...
So my neat producer worked non-stop, took some incredible pictures and finished an awesome demo. woooo
weeeeellllll Montreal Canada called today and Cirque du Soleil wants me to fly to San Fransisco in December for a formal audition.

oh man... it's for the Drallion cast - touring North America for 2 years then Europe...
Now, I have to prepare this stuff and get to Canada and play and wheeee!!! I mean, I probably don't have a chance and even if by some weird freak accident, I got it - I couldn't do it. I have too many commitments,
I mean, I've got all these conferences and things coming soon - Chicago, TOronto, Portland and Australlia all summer... oh yeah, and I'm getting a master's degree and junk.
BUT I GET TO AUDITION FOR CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!!!!!

The funny thing was when I got the call, I was playing hookey from orchestra to memorize the Wieniawski concerto cuz I had to play in memorized in front of the whole studion today. eek!
Once I found out - I freaked out and was shaking so much I couldn't play. i ran out into the hall and started screaming.
I calmed down long enough to play really well. I really think I've kicked my stage fright. And the only thing I have to thank os the rest home. I'm such a luckylucky girl. I think everyone should go find a home to play in. It so helps!!

Loren and I are doing better. I't nice that he tries. Infact, he just sent me the funniest text message today too.....
