driving on those familiar roads into Denver... to the Mercury Cafe, the greatest swing place/coffee house in the world... and for the first time in years, my heart said...
"I'm home."
Oh, and Mat and I kicked butt. We are the grooviest dancers ever. Seriously.
And one good person asked me to dance. I felt a little cool, oh yes I did. But it wasn't life or death any more. It's weird that I'm kind of growing up and stuff and I can just have fun. Who would have thought I could ever do that??
Then Mat and I followed up our tradition of Shakes and buffalo wings at Dennys. Me and my exotic life...

Yesterday was a learning experience... to go skiiing, I wore spandex under my o-so-sexy ski pants that make my butt look good because it was ccold, and I thought, more layers, how smart of me.
Poor MatMunch... he skiied with me, but for the better part of the moring, had to help me get feeling back into my feet. They had nooo blood in the toes. Scary. "It's not that cold!" he kept saying. But I couldn't feel my feet.
So after a loing discussion of ciculation problems versus insulation problems, he got me to take off the spandex and wear only the thin layer of my pants.
I thought he was crazy, but I've learned to trust people who have had hypothermia before.
And you know what?? I was warm the rest of the day. Sheez, I thought he was nuts!! Not so. MatMunch is smrrrt.
SUPERCRACK is in the doghouse but she doesn't know why..... I'm 22 years old, dang it! I'm a grown-up-ish person!! Ech, I'm getting a job and moving somewhere where my parents can't get mad at me. is there such a place???
i almost miss Texas...
