almost!

I kid you not, for almost 3 days this week, I was PERFECT. Baby didnt scream much, I got her to giggle, I took her places, we giggled and played, I was AWESOME!!
Fast forward to Wednesday night, as I sat in the bathroom marveling to Jared about how perfect I was and then I washed Soleis hair. It turns out thats why I hate motherhood so much. Theres only so much skipping about and singing and dancing that you can do to erase the memory of a baby with only ONE DROP OF WATER IN HER FACE standing in the tub, screaming at some unholy decibel level and wiping boogers all over her face and if you even dare get anywhere near her to wipe the water away or to rinse even just the BACK of her head she will start actually banging her head into the faucet just to get away from you.
Oh, and apparently the other thing that kills maternal love is when you are changing a poop-filled diaper while you have to hold them down because they are convulsing twisting and clawing and screaming just to get away from you because you will not allow them to wipe their poo all over their bedroom and are trying wipe it off their butt. All the while you, the mother are screaming at them "ITS NOT LIKE I WANT TO TOUCH YOUR POO ANYWAY!! WHY ARE YOU NOT THANKING ME FOR GETTING THIS STUFF OFF YOU?!?!"
Oh crap. I just smelled something I have to go do the above mentioned deed. Ill let you know how it goes.
**later**
Whew, I succeeded. To get her to do stuff she might possibly object to, I have to overcompensate by getting SUPER EXCITED and thus transferring the EXCITED to her. Its pretty much just like this cartoon says it:
In fact, I got her so EXCITED for a diaper change yesterday that she got hysterical laughing and screaming in the good way and ran straight into the wall several times on the way to her room. It would have been even funnier had I not been aware of the fact that every time she fell, she was smooshing the poo over more of the surface of her tush.
Oh who am I kidding? I laughed my butt off at with her anyway :)
