Where HAS the day gone?
Well, it might have seemed short due to my super bebe waking up for 2 hours around midnight, and then after I fed her again around 8, I passed out until 11.
She was WIDE awake this morning, but I physically couldn't take care of her. I mean, the night before I had been on a 10 hour plane ride and I didn't get the chance to sleep very much, or nap the next day because I was caring for Solei.
So what did SUPER husband do? He took her after I passed out around 9, and her gave her a bath and took a shower himself. I had no idea, I was out cold, but I awoke to the playful cooing of Solei (she will not shut up, she's thrilled with the sound of her own voice!) and the sound of Jared finishing his shower. Who was watching the verrra awake bebe??
Resourceful man that he is, he put her in her stroller and rolled her into the bathroom with some toys hanging in front of her face, and the whole thing turned away from the shower so she couldn't see nekid daddy.
He's brilliant. And so sweet to do as much as he can to give me breaks. Dang I'm lucky.
Buuut, back to the fact that the day is over and I have to be up SUPER early for church. I gots to run. But before I go, I want to share my absolute favorite quote from my trip back to the states for Christmas with my family.
We played a white elephant gift game, where you pick crappy gifts and then try to steal less-crappy gifts from other people. The most popular and stolen item was a Christmas CD of Gladys Knight (were y'all aware that she is a Mormon now?) and her choir. So my new Aunt Brenda was trying to steal the CD from my other Aunt Joyce, who was hiding it under her arm...
Brenda: "C'mon! Where did you hide Gladys Knight?!"
and from the corner of the room, my insanely clever Uncle Rand shouts: "Check her Pips!"
I don't think I've ever laughed this hard, people. Tasty, tasty stuff:)
SUPERCRACK will divulger more of her vacay as soon as she can! Oooo, and Liz - I got the box, it was waiting for me when I got home!! Bless you!!!!!! We had some Mac and Cheese for dinner and I'm wearing my cotton candy Lip Smackers right now!!!!!
