Libras are pretty but we can't drive
December 15, 2006 at 6:42 p.m.
I always knew I was a nut case, due to my being a Libra and all. But now I can blame my psychotic driving skills on it too! This new book says it's because of when I was born and all!
Oh, speaking of driving, in Brasil, you don't have to follow stop signs. It's not illegal to sit in the front seat of your car and nurse your baby while you are on the highway (I KNOW it's unsafe, but there was more space up there than the backseat and she was HUNGRY!!) And I think you can old be pulled over if you killed someone. If you are speeding, they just take a picture of you and mail it in.
So no sick feeling in the pit of your stomach if you see a cop driving next to you - they don't even care if you pass them. And that no stopping at the stop sign? INSANE when you get to all the roundabouts, but it gets the blood pumping!
Nothing new to report here as of today. Still looking around, some opportunities in Brasil, some in the states. Yes, I am REALLY leaning towards the states. But if the Guy Upstairs wants us here.... I've already been through the worst of it (the giving birth thing). I guess I can handle a little more if I'm supposed to.
Buuuuuuut.... back to America?? We'll be there a week from today fom Christmas!!!!! 5 days of shopping and one insane Grandma flipping out at the freaking cutest baby ever.
Little Solei doesn't know that her life is seriously derainged. When she's old enough to know what her parents did when she was younger, I really hope she doesn't get mad at us for "ruining her life."
Think about it - if we do leave in a few months and go home to America, for the rest of her life she'll be a Brasilian that doesn't remember Brasil or speak Portuguese. I don't know it well enough to teach it and Jared's not the patient type. How weird will that be when she fills out her SAT applications.
For her sake, I hope the world ends before she has to fill out SAT applications:)
SUPERCRACK is still out there.
