retail therapy

Today had all the earmarks of being a fabulous day. 2 American chicks coming to visit and make Christmas cookies with me, plus their kids. Oh the joy and humanity! Buuut, it started out foreboding when Solei woke up at 4am instead of 6�. And then she puked down my cleavage just before her bath, and then just after. And for some reason, has been refusing to eat most of the day.
Now I�m not saying today was bad at ALL, because cookies were made and I got to speak English to humans. But one of the chicks got insanely lost and spent all day on the road, miserable with 2 miserable kids in her car. And the kids who were about (a 2 year old and a baby 2 months older than Solei) were alternately wonderful and heinous. At one GLORIOUS point, all 3 kids were howling at the top of their lungs for almost an hour.
I am ready to rant about how I want a new job because mine has too much puking and screaming involved, but I�m not. I am going to indulge in some harmless, shallow sale-talk.
I LOVE sales. Old Navy clearance clothes are the best. So cheap it�s scary, and there�s always something I want. I can�t wait to go back to the US and shop until I get woozy, but I�m already started drooling on what I should buy myself online.... Behold�.
Why am I wanting these flipflops when they are sooo last year?? Maybe because they�re 3 bucks� but still!
And doesn�t this look super comfy??? And long, we likes that. One of those big spend-y $10 ones, but worth it.
And this in berry� long and yum yum!! $5.99 � oh, the insanity!!
Now this one is actually $15, but I already have 3 in different colors, and they are the most comfortable sweaters in the WORLD!! What do I need with a sweater here? Hey, I�ll need them again soon enough, and I need to buy ALL before they stop making them:)
Okay, and this isn�t on sale, but I saw it on the web the other day and swooned. Baby Legs - adorable leg warmers that keep a baby warm but still make it easy to change their diaper. How cute are they??? I want some pink striped and rainbow ones on Solei pronto!!
Ahhh.. a little retail therapy, even if it�s only virtual, is just what the doctor ordered. I�ll try to go ahead and have a nice night and recoup, if Solei is willing to sleep long enough for me. I mean, a stressful day it was, but I got to spend time with my friend who I adore and chat like a human again, and I really, I have a wonderful life. No need to go crazy because of some screaming and such. This too shall pass:)
