girl noises and marching bands

I'm hitting new lows in how lazy and slaapy I get. Last night I fell asleep with my cntacts in, fully clothed... and I just don't care. I'm so freaking pooped.
And get this - my long distance relationship is getting.. well... a little closer.
I fall asleep on the phone alot, and Loren has to hang up on me because I just can't wake up. Well, the last two nights he hasn't hung up... free nights and weekends. people... he just eaves the phone on speaker and falls asleep to my "cute girl noises" that I make when I sleep.
I think I woke up and hung the phone up at 4-ish this morning... he said some delightfully mushy things and then I hung up on him because I was basically still asleep.
We may be weird, but it's just great being loved like this. Luckily we both realize how odd we are and we don't take ourselves too seriously.
*le sigh...*
So check out what I did last night!
Last night was the biggest annual concert for all the bands here at ASU - it's huge - the wiod symphonies, and then closing with the marching band - all in Gammage auditorium - this gorgeous, HUGE concert hall we have here - twice the size of the one at UNT.
Weeeeeeeeeell, guess who was a featured soloist for the evening?
MOI! The only violinist in the house! I played a huge fiddle solo all by myself and then the band came in - it was fabulous. I felt like a such a winner! Not so distant from myself. I was in my element.
Thanks to all who called and left encouraging messages in my guestbook... I'm feeling great about how I played at my audition, but the stress can still bowl you over and I've been feeling half-human lately. That and this whole isolation feeling...
I Do have friends here. Maybe never as close as the ones I have everywhere else, but I feel good right now.
Diaryland, you guys the the best!
SUPERCRACK is goin' to school... IN her contacts - ickyicky!
