turkey revisited and my life trudging on

November 25, 2001 at 10:05 a.m.

sewwww................. how was your Thanksgiving? As for me and my Christensen self, it was just peachy.

Southern California feels like home, with all these insane reliatives hanging around. And did you know that I become even more beautiful EVERY YEAR? These silver tounged uncles.

Flying out, I found the secret to getting on the plane first. For you violinists out there, you know what I'm talking about - if you want to stuff that case in the overhead bins, you'd better hurry and get in there or some old grandma will be trying to get her entire glassware and pillow collection up there and the nice flight attendant lady will stop by and nicely ask if I will stow my extremely fragile and expensive violin under the plane, where large greasy men will man-handle it and break it into smithereens, yeah verily.

Ech. So the secret is, be standing next to that random search table pretty early, and when they start doing that, they'll check you first and your suspicious looking rifle case. Weirdos. But then you'll get to hop on the plane right then, while they are seating the fancy rich people who always get on first and get dinner and stocks and new Nikes as a part of their first-class tickets. ah-hahaha.

Thanksgiving was a great day. I love my family and all those blokes. My Christensen side is of noble heritage. I am very proud of how smart-mouthed and loud they are. Makes me wonder how I ended up soooo docile and quiet.

Then I had to help clean out grandma's house. 30 years of dust and paper and memories and junk... I could only take so much, so the next day I spent the entire day bonding with my little cousins. That'll wear you out.

And now I am in LA staying at my brother Rhys' apartment, awaiting 2 days of college visits. Needless to say, I am at a loss for words. I don't know what I want to do with my life, and even though this is a good direction to at least seach out, I'm just so tired and confused. Still.

What do I want? Where do want it to happen?? Maybe I'll do something big and exciting one day. But I simply have no idea what that might be. Well, a few hints along the way say I might do something in say... music? Maybe that's a lead I should follow:)

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. And down the road I think I'll think of this year and all that happened as one of the best Thanksgivings. I'm just glad I'm slightly dense and I don't see everything everyone else sees.

My thanksgiving is a Rockwell painting. And that's a good thing to look back on.

SUPERCRACK is....yeah, just trucking.
