little things are nice

What a week...
My walls are bare and I'm giddy. The floor is covered in boxes and papers and suitcases... my roommate has been watching TV all afternoon as I've been dragging the large bulky things into the garage.
I've been working my butt off, practicing for all the crazy recitals and performances that are coming up. I think they'll go okay... I'm working so hard, I'm in this zone, making the kind of music that has hurt me so much....
But I'm getting this masters degree. February 14th, my recital. May 13th, I put on that goofy robe.
Today I carried a heavy amp. 7 months ago I was having trouble holding my toothbrush.
It feels good, that's all.
Tuesday I had an errand before I played I had to be at the montessori school I teach at. And I was starrrving. So I found the closest Sonic - dang I love those... and got the longest hot dog I've ever seen.
Arizona has a few good things to offer. A November day where I can sit in my car with the windows open, with my feet propped up on the dash and relax for the first time in a long time.
Just a really happy moment. :)
Tomorrow my parents are coming to help me with the mooooove. Oh, by the way, I have a cool gig on Saturday and my parents are going to be there to see me!!!
I'm playing a li'l benefit with a Polish gutarist and an Irish drummer - it's a little jazz, celtic, latin, rock, and Hungarian gypsy music. We're really into pidgeon-holing our sound:)
And y'all are invited if you want to come! It's at a msuic academy in Phoenix off of Bethany Home and Central at 7:20pm - it's free, but it's a good idea to make reservations - call Musik Works at 602-264-5188.
enjoy!
Hey, for all you LDS folk, go to ldslinkup.com! It's like Friendster but for Mormons and you should sign-up and link me so I feel really cool! I already got to hook up with holli!
For the first time in a long time, I wasn't crazy busy on Thursday night and I got to watch Scrubs while I packed.
It's the little things.
Like knowing that I will soon be living in a new house. I get to find a new grocery store to go to... a new Dennys to escape to...
And I won't feel sick about having to go home anymore.
:)
Guess who is going HOME next week and is SKIING!!!! WOOHOO!!!
By the way, if you were anywhere near the aquatic center on the ASU camput Wednesday morning and say a 5'10 24 year old girl in a black Speedo standing on one of the blocks, screaming like a little girl because she was scared about jumping into the water face first, and also witnessed her belly-flopping repeatedly....
You were watching me, Reva, throwing away any semblance of dignity that I've ever had.
And you know what? It was really funny and I enjoyed it. Hmmm. I'm still a lady though, dagnabit.
And did you notice how good I look in a swimsuit??
:)SUPERCRACK is one of a kind!
