Why the heck do I not write lots and lots in here? Last week was spent doing funeraly things and spending time with my friend. She's so amazingly strong. She's taken care of her parents for the last few years and now - at 50 - she's got a whole different life ahead of her now.
When her dad passed 6 months ago, she started taking violin lessons from me and she practices hours on end. It's her way of moving on and dealing with the loss. She had to miss a few lessons when her mom was fading, but she's back on track this week.
It's just so inspiring. I love this woman so much, she's such a sweetheart. I went to lunch with her and some other ladies on Monday, and looking around, I realized every one of them was around my mother's age. I mean, as you become an adult, ages blend and you're more okay with people of other ages - I mean, Jared's the age of my older brother and I wouldn't have hung out with kids that age when I was, say, 12. Well, he probably wouldn't have hung out with me:)
But I've found as I've settled in my my life in Georgia, I'm way more comfortable with people older than me. I guess people my age and married have toddlers and toddlers scare me.
I'm really glad for my friends from college. It was a time that I lived up - I knew it would be the only time in my life where I'd have that much freedom to find myself. Of course now most of my great friends are only on the phone - but hey, I'll live. It's wonderful to know people are out there that I can connect with - dang I love cell phones. And cable phones.
Am I really this happy? All the freaking time? How is this possible??
Sorry, totally in awe some days. Jared spends every day doing things to make me happy. I can't even list everything, it's so overwhelming. We are so good at this marriage thing!
I'm a lucky, lucky girl.
Bah. It worries me - how long can life be this happy? Oh yeah, I've had a wonderful year and a months - but I've never been this happy for sooo long, good gravy. I guess I just keep getting luckier.
SUPERCRACK says rock on!!!
