random weekendy

What a freaking weekend!!! Luckily, I had a long, lovely day today with Jared - he even took a walk with me in the park next to my house, with the beautiful fall leaves falling to the ground:) It doesn't get much better that that...
Friday I had a gig in a pub - it was so tasty!! The guitarist is just faboo and Jared brought a nice crowd of friends to listen and be fun. I love this crazy thing that is me being a celtic violinist:) It was a little creepy though - the number of drunk men and women who came up to tell me how awesome I was... and then kiss my hand, and get uncomfortably close. The place was packed and it was just too groovy for words - my first real celtic gig and I kicked booty!!
The Saturday there was this strings festival in my town that the local violin shop put on and I had two of my groups play. My fiddle group played, and then in the evening, my top orchestra played a Halloween concert for the town and lots of adorable kiddos. I was the narrator and I dressed like some icky ghoul - white wig and face makeup, spiderwebs all over, just creepy. My co-teacher conducted and dressed like Dracula.
It's days like that - really random stuff - that make me like my job.
but PHEW! Ms. K needs a freaking nap!
So, I know this goes without saying, but whoever decided to write in my g.book the nasty bit about my diary and ly life... geez, if you don't like it, go somewhere else. This is my little corner of the internet and the world and I loves it I do.
So Jared was busy this morning making lists of addresses for our wedding invites and I decided to send a mass e.mail out just now collecting the addys of my own friends.
I typed up a nice li'l note and paused when it came time to hit 'send'... almost panicked, I mean, announcing it to old professors and those friends who were there for those interesting times in my life... it made it suddenly very real and I got suddenly very scared.
But this time, unlike most of last week, I took a breath, closed my eyes and clicked the 'send' box.
And then I smiled. And I'm still smiling. I feel peace. I'm actually doing this. Oh my heck. yay:)
