baby not out!!

yeGADS!!
I guess I knew the baby would be late � everyone says the baby will be late for the first one (not like this experience is making me want to have any other children, but you can�t deny only-children are weird. Apologies to the only-children out there, really!) but I guess I didn�t really realize the reality of her being late.
My MIL is here only until the 18th, and although she�s been helpful, she�d be sooo much more useful as an extra pair of hands when I�m trying to recover and have a newborn around. As it is, she�s only here for another week and a half. The doctor will be out of town this coming weekend and doesn�t want to consider inducing until I�m 42 weeks along�. That�s the day before MIL leaves.
I feel so torn � I�m still not all sunshine and butterflies about having a child � the idea of labor, recovering from labor, my entire life never being the same again, and the death knell of the life I thought I�d have someday�. Well, it�s hard to get excited about giving birth as soon as possible. But Jared needs me to be happy, and so I work really hard to ignore all that and focus on getting ready. Except the nursery is all set up and I can�t think of anything else I CAN do except worry. Well, now that I have the internet back up � booya!! Except I have to keep myself off of the sites that have comments from people talking about their horror birth stories. I look at them under the guise of �it�s educating!� but mostly, I�m just freaking myself out.
I went to the ultrasound place today, and she looks healthy, she IS healthy, but besides these dang frequent and annoying practice contractions, she shows no signs of wanting to GET OUT. She�s 7 pounds, too. I don�t want her getting any bigger inside of me!! Outside, yes, inside, NO!
Oh, I have internet now!!! I feel calmer already.
So, I REALLY hate birds. Remember how much I hate roosters? Jared fixed that problem � he bought a fan and now we sleep in coolness, and the hum is louder than the roosters across the street. So the only thing that wakes me up in the middle of the night is my bladder. Well, it wakes Jared up anyway � I flail around in my sleep in pain because I have to pee but I�m too asleep to know that I should go to the bathroom, so once Jared gets whacked by me, he wakes me up and tells me to go pee. Poor guy, but at least it�s not the roosters.
But the bird-gods wanted to make me suffer, since we got around their last plan. We have a freaking huge house, with ginormous ceilings and an upstairs that is so big, we haven�t even used it yet, but leave the windows open because it gets hot up there. There�s a BBQ and a pizza oven and room for a coupla pool tables. But the windows stay open, remember? Sunday, when we were getting ready to have the missionaries over for dinner, Jared discovered bird poop on one of our new dining room chairs.
BIRDS IN MY HOUSE. POOPING ON MY FURNITURE. I didn�t see the bird, but I was sooooo mad. GAH.
And what do we discover today when we return home?? A BIRD UPSTAIRS, flying around like a psycho banshee. Don�t give me that pity-ness for the poor bird, it pooped on my chair! Jared and I were trying to shoo it out the window, but it didn�t work, and ended up being hilarious, as Jared angrily stomped down the stairs and announced he was getting the hose. He didn�t, but the visual was fantastic.
I HATE BIRDS!!!!!!
SUPERCRACK. Hates birds. Is ready to squeeze out a munchkin. Kind of. Would prefer to get it over with. Yes!
