random babblings at a girls' night

September 03, 2001 at 12:43 a.m.

I love being a girl.

Put four cute string players in a room and put "Bring It On" in the video player laaaaate in the evening when the next day is a school holiday.

We don't know why we rented it, or kept watching it. Our IQ's are higher than the number of hairdressers in the credits. But sometimes it's nice to be a chick and laugh your head off at a bad movie.

I even saw "Spice World" a few years ago. Oh, the confessions of a bored college girl:)

There was a knock on the door and this grungy guy who told us he was a neighbor asked us if anyone played bass because he did and had heard our "funky beats." Then he notices there are 4 hot chicks in the apartment. Oh, could we chat for a moment? no thank you!!

Right now there's a new show on that we're watching - "cheaters" - a show that follows a significant other to see if they are cheating. We're about to throw up. But there's no school tomorrow - we can't stop!

*later*

okay, we also just watched Dirty Dancing. I LOVE BEING A GIRL.

I just recorded my Float song today at Gregs - it's pretty good. The recording is nothing fancy, but I really like the song. It makes me feel bubbly. My favorite words are the first ones that came to me one day in Colorado...

"Prefer not to fly

this more passive approach and I

release the gravity of my situation

It's a stretch and so

far from the life I've known

deep sigh and I will go

float........"

Not to bad - the song is even in 6/8 time. How cool is that? Everything I write seems to be in 4/4 but I'm trying to branch out into something wacky.... 12/3??

Random thoughts:

Dallin is in the MTC - he's going on his mission to Chile. I miss him so.

I don't feel so bad today about being not such a party girl all the time. When you see what that lifestyle does to a person, it makes you love a night home with friends,

My cousins Nicole and Kelly are two of the coolest girls in the whole wide world and I hope Jr. High rocks for Nicole Tuesday:)

I'm tired of living out of a suitcase. I don't think I'll ever know how to settle down if I got the chance.

I think I made friends at church today. I'd really like to make friends at church.

Some words of wisdom an aunt once mentioned: "I could have been single for my entire life but I didn't know I could until I got married."

I LOVE THIS MAN.

SUPERCRACK SAYS..... it's 4am.. do you know where your princess is?
