my oh my, my recent sickness has me waaaayy too connected to the internet. Update more, people!!! I just gotta get my fix!
Hey - Casey alerted me to this one - do you know anyone serving an LDS mission and do you have a BEAR of a time sending letters? Well, my kid bro Dallin is out in Chile and I write the letters but never get around to mailing 'em. Now there's an answer!
DearElder.com! You write the letter there like an e.mail, know thier mission and bang! It gets hand delivered to 'em and you don't have to worry about finding an envelope or postage....
And if you know someone in the Missionary Training Center, it gets printed out and given to them that day! Woohoo!! So go write my brother right now, dagnabit:)
I've been fooling about with my neglected pitas page. So now I have a delightful links page to send all of y'all to those I love most in D*land. So Go! hmmm... and link to me too. the page thingy where it lists all the people who list me as a fav diary... skimpy. Heh - go check out what ask-obiwan did to fill out her list::)
Oh, and if you need to read something just funnier than life itself, I stumbled onto this amazing livejournal fiction page.... He-Man stories!!!!!!
sooooo yes I've been stalling. On to my life...
remember a little while back, I started getting e.mails from my ex? The one that has never mentioned that he is married or has a child? And then e.mails me on the anniversary of a very important date every year and wants to know what the details in my life are?
Well, I took your advice and I never wrote him back.
I mean - you married folk out there especially - what would you think if your spouse didn't mention you to an ex and started e.mailing them? Hmmm? Shifty?
Well, he sent me another today - check this out:
I get the hint... I wont bug you anymore. The only reason I wanted to contact you at all was to give sincere thanks- Not only to you, but to your family. Im a better person because of all of you...
that was mostly it. um... don't blame my family for the way you are now - below the poverty level, left your mission 6 months in, married with a kid and still no college degree or life course or real job... golly, if this is better, I can't even imagine what he thinks messed up is.
ewwwww. When I take the plunge, I'm goona be ready. I am *not* going to let some college/life flunky tell me (as he once did) that struggling below the poverty line is romantic. I mean, I don't know what my future holds, but I'm doing everything in my power to shoot for something good, exciting to provide for me and my fam - it's great quote mom has -
It is better to shoot for the moon and miss, than to shoot for the mud and get it.
Ech - this is not even worth my words. Pshaw - be gone, foul thought!!
Okay, here's something funny. We don't have a kitchen, right? Well, this is where I shine. I am the master microwave cooker!! I can do anything - some great recipes, yes I got 'em.
My poor cousin from the Ukraine is a compulsive chef. She doesn't eat much, but she sure cooks a lot - and not having a stove has been miserable for her. So the other day, she attempted to use this strange American appliance we have called the "microwave."
What ensured is pure madness.
Our handyman watched her walk into the dining room with a bowl full of water and two eggs and wondered what the heck she was up to...
about a minute later, there was a large exsplosion - or should I say - eggsplosion? heh heh:) and Tanya came dazed, covered in egg into the room where my mom was. The dining room was covered in egg shell and egg pieces - she had attemped to boil them in the microwave. The impact was so great it blew the door open!! And out microwave is friggin' huge, too. Haha!
I was sitting outside on the phone when I saw mom and Tanya carry it out - they had to take the hose to it to get it clean again! Those egg bits were imbedded in the dang thing!
heee:) I shouldn't laugh, but it seems I can do nothing right around here... until now. BOW TO MY MICROWAVE COOKING PROWESS!!!!!
yep. I'm the man.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnndddddddd.........
call me on my cell phone right now dagnabit. I makes me so happy:)
you know what really makes me happy? I made a new friend in Arizona - and I haven't even gotten there yet! And she has a copy of Thoroughly Modern Millie!! (if you don't kow what it is, you don't watch enough musicals, that's all I gotta say to you)
Eden, I can't WAIT to get down there!! I am so pumped I might even practice violin! wheeee!!
SUPERCRACK is watching her tonsils shrink.... hopefully?
