one heck of a bad day...

When it rains it pours....
Yesterday was such a beautiful day. I was so happy, it was perfect weather and i was wearing my Hawaian shirt for the steel drum band concert that night.
When we got to the gig and were setting up our "pans," I somehow managed to cut/rip my finger on a exposed metal-pointy thing. My fourth finger, top digit, horozontally down most of the meaty part. It wouldn't stop bleeding for so long and I was slightly hysterical.
I know what you're thinking - the left hand.. that's an important hand for a violinist.... right.
It still hasn't scabbed over so I can't play violin for a while. Better be a friggin short while. I feel disabled, and it hurts so much. What will I do for my violin lesson tomorrow???
Anywho, I calmed down, it's better, it's just ouchie and annoying. Lucky for me, Danielle was there and was great. And some nice girl from Manchester. The non-helpful one was D's boyfriend who suggested a hair-tie be wrapped around my finger to stop the bleeding. A tourniquet??? men....
Then - it gets worse!!!
check this out - I was studying with my very special crack-head of a friend Jared for my pop music test until 2am this morning. Waking up for the 9am test was painful.
and the... on the way to my test... I RAN OUT OF GAS.
The gas gauge in my car doesn't work, but I never miscalculate this badly... And I knew I couldn't be late for the test because Sovik will lock the doors. No one was helpful - I had run out right next to a gas station and no one had a gas can!!!
They suggested I call AAA, but I called my mom instead and cried. She had some good suggestions, and I was planning on just leaving it there, when this dear old man came up to me and offered an old empty milk jug that I could put the gas in. And another old lady ran out and gave us a paper funnel.
The car almost didn't start again, but it finally kicked in and I was actually on time to class!!! I'm exhaused , though. I'm taking this forced break from practicing to take a nap. Ug.
Urmi's coming over tonight - I'd cry from sheer joy if I wasn't so wasted right now.
SUPERCRACK thanks you-know-who for good samaritans. God Bless this country with its nice old people:)
