Today, I'd decided I'd just HAD it. Solei was so happy, and then I realized it was time for her to eat and I was leaking milk like mad, so I tried to nurse. She freaked out SO bad and howled, she refused a bottle, I was crying, she was crying, and it's like this every other day.
I was so worn out and upset when she finally passed out, I typed in "weaning" into my seach toolbar. I wanted to figure out HOW to stop this insanity, because for the most part, Solei just hates nursing and has never liked it. I know I'm not a fan, but I'm stubborn!
And again, I read things. I need to stop reading things! I just wanted to know how bad it will hurt if I stop, what can I do to not be in insane amounts of pain all the time (like I am today!). But, all I got were articles saying that if you MUST go ahead and wean, wait until they are 6 years old and even then you should feel bad about it because nursing is The Greatest Gift You Can Give To Your Child. Remember, if you don't, your child will be a sickly axe murderer!

Everything made me feel so bad for even considering stopping at 6 months, like I wanted to. Although now I'm shooting for last week. These women (called LACTIVISTS! that's hilarious!) were talking about how either it was the most amazing experience and they HATED giving it up, or it was pure heck, but they still did it for 18 months.
There are so many - miiiillions of websites extolling the virtues (which I'm not denying, it's good and stuff) but they also tell you that you SUCK if your child hates it and it's all your fault. It's my business if I suck, or if my kid won't (heehee)and I'd like a little support here, please!
So I figure, there needs to be a website for women you think it totally bites the big one and decided that NOT nursing made them feel less likely to murder someone. I mean, I'm not Amish, I used advences in technology and science if I need them (I make Easy Mac instead of getting out the buter and milk, it's just faster!)!!
I'm not the kind of girl to go out and make fansites for stuff, but if any of you want to go ahead and make a support site for women whose children hate their boobs (and before anyone suggests it, I HAVE a healthy milk supply, I'm eating nothing that tastes good so it won't bother her, and it's gotta be genetic, I refused to nurse as a baby - stubborn from the beginning!).

Oh, and thse crazed nursing people say if your kid sleeps through the night, it's just hooorrid. Yeah, that 8 hours I get most nights is just terrible.
Sorry!!! What a rant, huh?? I figure if the internet is going to make me feel bad, I was going to be the one tiny voice yelling back at it. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, but screaming is a nice solution for now. Phew, now I feel better:)
